I've been with my g/f 18 years. She recently got divorced. She thought she was divorced but wasn't (something to do with absolute and nisi), only came to light when former husband needed to re-marry recently. Thing is, and she genuinely didn't realize, former husband was also our landlord for first x years of our relationship, all of which was a horrendously high London rent paid on HB (haven't claimed since yah)

And the amount that adds up to is big enough to, well, funny old world.

Obviously I've made all this up.

Edit for idiots. You can't claim HB if your LL is your spouse.
